Ignition Radio Lone Frequencies and Strawberry Tongue Radio today

After-Death Plan is featured today on Lone Frequencies on Ignition Radio.

That's 6p-7p Greenwich Mean Time...carry the one...1pm (EST).

Ignition Radio is a really cool grassroots station out of Stockton-on-Tees. Thanks to hosts James & Jacob for listening. We really like the idea of getting abroad at the moment. If not just in spirit.

Providing community radio services for Stockton-on-Tees and the North East of England, Ignition Radio is rapidly growing and dedicated to its cause of promoting local music and personal development through a number of voluntary and work experience positions in everything from radio presenting to web development and technical support.

Also today is the re-airing of the Friday Night Five show on Strawberry Tongue Radio. They pick five new artists and one old-school standard to showcase. And they even write an artist intro on each. Here's a bit of the what they had to say about ADP:

"Lesley’s voice has the quirky element of jazz singer Blossom Dearie and their overall style relies on haunting, infectious melodies. Blending beautifully with the song structures of Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, PJ Harvey, Leonard Cohen and Black Tape for a Blue Girl, there music could best be described as an incantation of the early 4AD sound. It was very hard to narrow down three of their tracks tonight, but, we are featuring “Picking Bones,” “Into the Grey,” and “The Sea and the Earth Gave Birth to Wonder.”" The show re-airs on Saturday (2/25/17) and Sunday (2/25/17) at 1:00pm (Into Grey), 3:00 (Picking Bones), 5:00 (Sea & Earth), then again at 7:00 (Into Grey), 9:00 (Picking Bones) & 11:00 (Sea & Earth) EDT/EST. We also got turned on to some other great sounds: Chris Connolly (not of Ministry), Fake Your Own Death, The Grey Merchant, Phantom Tails,... This DJ has great taste and is introducing us to a lot of good artists.
