After-Death Plan on Listen Columbus
Thanks to the Upper Arlington Public Library for including After-Death Plan in their Listen Columbus program which hosts a digital collection music of local music and licenses that music to stream to the public. UA’s Listen Columbus program is made possible through a grant from the federal Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS), awarded by the State Library of Ohio, and additional support came from the Friends of the UA Library.
If you follow After-Death Plan then you already know we write a lot of songs reflecting on books and authors and put some of those tracks influenced by the classics on our album, Literature. We’re big fans of books, libraries, and specifically the programming at UA library. They feature local music in their media section and in their concert series in addition to hosting guest authors from Ohio and beyond.

Back to the grind. Thanks for Upper Arlington Library for the opportunity and the inclusion!
p.s. My first love was writing. As a kid, I wrote tons of tender poetry and many stories about characters like Gwosel & The Giant. Teenage hormones and life circumstances lent me dark leanings early on: existential and powerlessly passive-aggressive anger with an underlying desire for utopian outcomes and an eye for stylized romantic escape; coupled with a desire to learn and even tick off taboos by understanding everything and even the bizarre. I spent a lot of time in the library feeding my active imagination in characterless safe spaces, internal debate aside, where I could glimpse my self sometimes reaching for enlightenment or embracing animal instinct.; reflecting on what I read, whether sinking into another’s POV or just observing people hardening into their portrayals. Written stories still churn in my head with automatic envisioning of much of the artistic direction. Libraries are such a constructive resource for the active imagination; they let you figure out what you’re drawn to as well as provide straightforward information for figuring out the practical aspects of life. Big fan. Constantine also loves books and has a degree in Russian Literature which is a major part of why Dostoevsky and Bulgakov are covered in the album Literature.
